Dimensions 16 x 20, A trio of young girls await their turn at a ballet recital. They watch from the wings of the stage and ponder the graceful and pretty older dancers. Another group of ballerinas are watching from the other side of the stage, they blend together almost as one. Being a tiny dancer when I was young, it was so exciting to work toward learning the proper dance moves for a performance and then, that special day! About Marilyn Borne
Since I was a kid, I loved to draw and paint. As an adult, my career has been in graphics, illustration, and publishing, using computers and technology, but creating with traditional medium was always the "go to." My painting style is a mix of abstract and realism using acrylics. Some of my photographic work were created from microscopic images, experimentation is always an adventure. I've always admired John Singer Sargent and Andrew Wyeth's works, also the Dutch Masters. Both digital and traditional mediums have their place in expressing beauty and in communicating our hearts. I currently teach art at a local school and enjoy passing on a love for all things beautiful as expressed in various mediums. I believe art is therapeutic to both...
